Originally designed in 1925, this home was considered perhaps the greatest home of Australian Architect Harold Desbrowe-Annear. It was built for the Baillieu family and was retained by them for generations. My clients purchased the home and required a full internal rebuild and the complete updating of the garden, pool and landscape.
Highlights of the home included materials imported from Italy, France and the USA. From the entry foyer to the details of the bathroom, the new interiors were in keeping with a La Belle Epoque theme which restored the interior of the home to something befitting its exterior grandeur.
